Q. Is the scholarship available for other Universities
or courses in the USA?

A. For the time being it is not. Currently, it is only available for P.R.C. students who are admitted into Harvard Business School to read for an MBA.

Q. Can I stay in the USA for a few years after the MBA and then return to the P.R.C?

A. It is a requirement of the Foundation that recipients of its scholarships return to Mainland China. immediately after graduation from the MBA to work.

Q. Do I have to work for companies associated with
the Foundation in the P.R.C.?

A. No, when you return to work in the P.R.C., you may work for any company you feel best advances your career - a joint venture company, a state owned enterprise or a wholly foreign owned company or set up your own company.

Q. Will the Foundation pay for my application fee to Harvard?

A. No, the Foundation Scholarship only comes into effect after you are successfully admitted into Harvard and approved by the Foundation's selection committee.

Q. What does the Scholarship cover?

A. The full scholarship will cover most of the 2 year's tuition fees for the MBA program, some living allowance and travelling expenses. The Foundation may also give scholarship grants if the selection committee thinks it more appropriate.

Q. Can the Foundation get me a place at Harvard?

A. No, your application and admission to Harvard Business School must be based solely on your own merit and must be completely accurate and genuine. There are severe penalties at American unviersities for fraud and plagarism.

Q. After the MBA, if I return to work in Hong Kong, does this fulfil your criteria?

A. For the purposes of the Foundation's criteria, working in Hong Kong does not count as working in the PRC.
